Zamfirescu Racoți Vasile & Partners (ZRVP) consolidates its management team by appointing Cosmin Cojocaru as a partner of the dispute resolution and arbitration department. His promotion is effective as of July 1, 2021. Cosmin Cojocaru will have an active role in expanding the mandate portfolio in construction disputes, being specialized in disputes entailing from works contracts, including construction projects (FIDIC), national and international commercial arbitrations.

In the last ten years, Cosmin Cojocaru has been contributing valuably to the consolidation of the litigation practice in constructions, both in front of common law courts and in front of arbitral tribunals, which contribution has materialized in the management of a significant number of intricate disputes finalized with favorable solutions for the clients represented in those proceedings. His vast experience has been turned to account in complex projects of over Eur 900 million, for leading companies in the areas of infrastructure, utilities, energy and natural resources. As a matter of fact, Cosmin Cojocaru has also coordinated a series of major disputes in energy, significantly contributing to the development of practice in this area.

Cosmin Cojocaru has been representing clients in over 50 cases under the auspices of CC, CICA, VIAC, PCA and has an Arbitration Diploma granted by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators London, at the same time being a member of this institution. He has experience of over 17 years in dispute resolution and arbitration, public procurement and administrative contentious, civil and commercial disputes. He joined ZRVP’s team at the beginning of 2010 and has constantly moved up the law firm’s hierarchy until made a partner. He has been recently included in the category Rising Stars in Dispute Resolution by the reputed international legal publication The Legal 500 EMEA.
In April this year, ZRVP announced its first internal promotions, following which eight attorneys at law advanced in various roles in the firm. Each year, the law firm uses an internal assessment procedure, and the criteria at the basis of the hierarchical promotion are the professional contribution to the success of the firm and of the relevant departments, the in-depth knowledge of the industries where the firm’s clients activate, the capacity to adapt and, last, but not least, the ability to manage crisis situations.
