The Romanian office of the law firm Wolf Theiss, present in the CEE / SEE region, has expanded its team of lawyers from the Corporate / M & A practice group, by recruiting lawyers Mihai Coadă, Alexandru Vlăsceanu, Elena Ionașcu and Vlad Catană.
After the new partner Bogdan Bibicu joined the office at the beginning of November, Wolf Theiss Bucharest continues to expand by co-opting four more lawyers in the Corporate / M & A team.
Mihai Coadă joins the Wolf Theiss team as a Senior Associate. Mihai has over 10 years of experience in the field, during which time he represented a wide range of clients, such as private equity firms, strategic investors and entrepreneurs in significant mergers and acquisitions transactions concluded in Romania (both by sellers, as well as on the part of buyers). Mihai assisted clients in implementing numerous corporate changes, including group-level restructuring and reorganization. He has also provided advice to clients on various aspects of financial regulation, such as legal considerations in the provision of financial services in Central and Eastern Europe post-Brexit and cross-border financial services under MiFID II. A graduate of the Faculty of Law in Bucharest, Mihai previously held the position of Coordinating Associate in a top regional law firm.
Alexandru Vlăsceanu joined the Wolf Theiss team as an Associate. Prior to joining Wolf Theiss's office, Alexandru worked for the Kingfisher Group, Kingfisher Plc. - Corporate Function (London), where he has covered a wide range of areas, including company law, mergers and acquisitions, competition, commercial contracts, capital markets, dispute resolution, data protection, compliance and regulation. Alexandru graduated from the Faculty of Law within the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iaşi, in 2011, and in 2013 he was admitted to the Bucharest Bar, after attending the courses of the National Institute for the Training and Development of Lawyers.
Elena Ionaşcu joins the Wolf Theiss team as a Junior Associate. Previously, Elena held the position of Legal Adviser in the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and before that she held the position of Legal Adviser in the National Institute of Magistracy, the Prosecutor's Office attached to the court and the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism. Elena has a bachelor's degree and a master's degree obtained at the Faculty of Law in Bucharest. In 2019 she passed the entrance exam in the Bucharest Bar.
Vlad Catana joins the Wolf Theiss team as a Junior Associate. Vlad graduated from the Faculty of Law in Bucharest. Prior to joining Wolf Theiss, Vlad was an intern at two local law firms. He also volunteered for the Red Cross and as a fundraiser for the "Three Millennium Leaders Club."
