The insolvent airline Carpatair SA brought administrative proceedings against SN Aeroportul International Timisoara - Traian Vuia SA, claiming EUR 10,517,322 as damages in connection with an alleged State aid. In April 2014, Bucharest Tribunal gave a first decision favorable to SN Aeroportul International Timisoara - Traian Vuia SA and dismissed the proceedings filed by Carpatair as time-barred. Carpatair SA filed an appeal, yet all its arguments – even backed-up by a specialized opinion – were recently dismissed by the judges of Bucharest Court of Appeal, who fully upheld the decision of Bucharest Tribunal. “Our strategy was successful and we enjoy the win on behalf of our client since the stake of this dispute was important.
