Voicu & Filipescu announced the promotion of Simona Merdariu to Partner. Simona has been part of the Voicu & Filipescu team since 2006.
She is a graduate of law (Faculty of Law) and economics (Faculty of International Economic Relations), and acquired a double specialization that allows her to ensure a complex approach to the business matters of the clients, international and local companies operating in Romania. She specializes in banking and finance and insurance law, capital market, mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commecial law, public procurement as well as settlement of commercial and administrative disputes, successfully representing clients within all levels of court and before regulation bodies.
In recent years, Simona has been involved as a managing associate in day to day asistance provided to important Romanian companies in the banking and finance, insurance and in large-scale projects such as acquisitions and mergers, financing complex projects, restructuring of activities and products, the launch of new products and business lines, the application of specific licenses or their passporting procedure from other EU Member States, regulatory issues and represented clients before the courts and regulators.
