As activity in the financial and banking sector continues to gather pace, Reff & Associates, the law firm representing Deloitte Legal network in Romania, is expanding its banking and securities practice with two lawyers: Mihaela Maxim, who has joined the firm as Managing Associate and Andreea Stoica, who joined as Associate.

Mihaela Maxim is a seasoned banking lawyer, with 13 years of experience in the financial and banking sector. During the past years, Mihaela held senior legal advisor positions with Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and BCR, where she worked on projects regarding syndicated loans, debt restructurings, standstill agreements and complex aspects of insolvency and enforcement issues. Previously, Mihaela worked for almost six years at Wolf Theiss, where during her last year with the firm she coordinated the banking & finance practice. During her professional career, Mihaela has been involved in landmark projects, such as advising one of the largest banking groups in the region with respect to a share offerings of approximately 1.74 billion EUR, as well as assisting international financial institutions on various loan facilities offered to Romanian credit and commercial entities. She is a graduate from the Law School at the University of Bucharest and has a master of laws' degree from London School of Economics and Political Science.

Andreea Stoica joins the banking & securities practice of the firm as Associate. She has three years of experience as a lawyer, during which she assisted in various financing deals, worked on LMA-based loans, intercompany loans, assignments of receivables, corporate and personal guarantees. She is member of Bucharest Bar and is a graduate of the Law School at the University of Bucharest and holds a master’s degree in business law from the same university.
