New promotions at Noerr’s Bucharest office

Noerr announces the promotion of Luiza Bedros and Sebastian Popescu to associate partner in the Bucharest office. Cristina Stamboli, Oana Piticaș and Alexandru Dan have also been promoted to Counsel.

Luiza Bedros has dedicated a large part of her 17-year career to the field of competition law, assisting in particular clients in regulated industries such as pharma, food retail, automotive both before the Competition Council and the European Commission in complex antitrust investigations. Luiza has helped to prevent potential competition problems in Noerr's clients' business, while helping them to implement various business strategies in compliance with competition rules. Luiza also frequently conducts competition law compliance trainings.

Sebastian Popescu has over 15 years of experience in practice areas such as business valuations, financial due diligence, financial audit, financial reporting as well as state aid. Sebastian has successfully advised many international companies in obtaining state aid funding approval, by preparing the business plan and the whole concept of the state aid project, as well as assisting in the relationship with the Ministry of Public Finance for various greenfield investments and expansion projects both in Romania and in other countries in the region.

Cristina Stamboli, with over 20 years of experience in business law, has coordinated and advised throughout her career on a significant number of greenfield projects, M&A transactions, joint ventures and other complex corporate matters for national and international clients in various industries, such as ITC, courier services, engineering and automotive industry, pharmaceuticals. She also specialises in providing legal assistance in relation to obtaining state aid financing for greenfield investment projects and/or expansion of production capacities.

Oana Piticaș specialises in assisting and representing international and local clients in complex white collar crime cases and in internal investigations and compliance. Oana has advised companies in a wide range of industries in complex tax evasion and corruption cases, successfully implementing various strategies and criminal defenses. Oana also has experience in real estate transactions, corporate matters and civil litigation.

Alexandru Dan specialises in digital business, IT, data protection and intellectual property law. Alexandru advises major international and local companies in various industries, from software developers and IT service providers to players in the automotive, media and pharmaceutical industries. He focuses on legal issues related to software, applications, IT services, e-commerce and data protection. His expertise includes intellectual property law, in particular copyright, trademarks, as well as legal issues related to cyber security.
