Deloitte Romania strengthens its management team by promoting Raluca Baldea and Bogdan Barbu to Tax Partners and Simina Mut to Partner with Reff & Associates, the law firm representing Deloitte Legal global network in Romania.

Raluca Baldea, newly appointed Partner within the Indirect Tax Department of Deloitte Romania, has 13 years of experience in the tax field. She joined Deloitte in 2013 and, since then, has specialized in VAT. With extensive experience in sophisticated VAT matters on all industries, Raluca focused in the recent years mainly on manufacturing, real estate and energy. Besides her work on VAT, starting with 2018 she has been coordinating the Customs & Excise Duties practice in Deloitte Romania and in 2019 she also took on the lead coordinator role of the Tax Department in Deloitte Romania’s Timisoara regional office. Raluca is a member of the Romanian Chamber of Tax Consultants, a tax expert registered at National Courts and holds an Executive MBA from Vienna University.
Bogdan Barbu, promoted to Tax Partner, specializes in transfer pricing and international taxation and is the leader of the industrial products sector in Deloitte Romania. He joined Deloitte as a graduate, in 2008, and has been since then part of numerous tax advisory projects and dispute resolution processes, particularly in the area of transfer pricing, for Romanian and multinational companies active in all fields, with an increased focus on the industrial and consumer products sectors. Since 2019, he is also the lead coordinator of the Tax Department in Deloitte Romania’s Cluj-Napoca office. Bogdan has a bachelor’s degree in international business and a master’s degree in the management of international business. He also holds a Transfer Pricing Certificate awarded by the Chartered Institute of Taxation in London and is a chartered certified tax advisor.
Simina Mut is now a Partner with Reff & Associates and will lead for Central Europe the Legal Management Consulting and Legal Managed Services to help legal departments with digital transformation, to gain efficiency with technology and process optimization. Simina continues to lead Deloitte Legal Global Centre of Excellence, a global team based in Bucharest which delivers solutions for both Deloitte clients and professionals around the world, among which the solutions created within the partnership with UiPath. She is an experienced lawyer in transactional banking and has a track record of driving the implementation of innovative projects for Deloitte Legal globally, in the areas of operational excellence, operating models design, centralized delivery, knowledge sharing, legal technology and digital strategy. Simina joined Deloitte as a graduate. She studied international and comparative law in Cluj-Napoca, Paris and Geneva and holds comparative law and transnational law certifications.
