Vlasceanu & Partners advised Kraftfeld Energy on securing EUR 50.4 million in financing from Kommunalkredit Austria for the development of the Maruntei Vest renewable energy project in Olt County, Romania.

Developed in partnership with Vertex Energy, the project combines a 61 MWp solar photovoltaic plant with a 100 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS), representing one of the integrated renewable energy and storage developments currently underway in Romania.

The mandate covered both financing and due diligence aspects, with the legal team assisting on all transaction-related matters, including the negotiation of the financing and security package, as well as the successful financial close.

The financing team was led by Mădălina Mailat (Counsel), alongside Martha Busuiocescu and Mihai Uricariu (Associates), under the coordination of Loredana Vlăsceanu (Partner).

Development-stage legal assistance, including real estate, permitting, and transaction due diligence matters, was coordinated by Ștefania-Gabriela David (Managing Associate), together with Traian Gabriel Constantin (Counsel), Andreea Istrate, Ana Ivănescu, Radu Ilca, and Diana Bigiu (Associates), under the supervision of Raluca Spînu (Partner).
