yerges & Partners successfully assisted KER TOKI Power (Toki Power), the energy trading arm of Vienna-based renewables and e-mobility investment group Renalfa Solarpro Group (Renalfa), on the acquisition of a 150 MW standalone BESS project in Romania. The new BESS asset, which is expected to become operational by Q4 2026, is designed to deliver fast-response flexibility and grid support services, helping to integrate more renewable energy into the Romanian electricity system.
The legal assistance covered all stages of the process, including comprehensive legal due diligence investigations, structuring the transaction, drafting and negotiating the transaction documents, obtaining FDI clearance, signing and closing activities. Nyerges & Partners continues to advise Toki Power on all legal matters regarding project implementation and on overall Romanian operations.
The legal team was led by Mihaela Nyerges (Managing Partner) and Horia Ispas (Partner) and included Irina Moinescu (Counsel) managing energy matters, Monica Cune-Ghițescu (Counsel), Paraschiv Sandu (Associate) and Emilia-Roberta Roca (Junior Associate) covering real estate and construction permitting matters and Larisa Nicolae (Managing Associate) and Adina Tănăsoiu (Senior Associate) covering corporate matters and FDI clearance.
