Schoenherr și Asociații SCA is bringing in a new head of tax. As of 24 February 2021, Adriana Stoian, a tax advisor with over 20 years of professional experience in the local market, will be running the firm's tax advisory practice in Romania.
Schoenherr launched its tax advisory practice in 2013, with the aim of providing integrated legal and tax services to its clients. Tax advisory soon became one of the firm's key areas of expertise in Romania, generating demand both as part of multi-disciplinary services, and as a stand-alone practice.
"Adriana joins us at a time when Schoenherr's tax advisory practice has reached its maturity. We are confident that her remarkable experience will allow us to maintain the high level of service provided to our clients in this area. Adriana Stoian is a recognised expert in the Romanian tax advisory market. She has over 20 years of experience in this area, gained while working in a Big4 company, in local tax advisory firms (either independent or affiliated to law firms), as well as in a major oil & gas company.

Adriana Stoian takes over the leading role of Schoenherr's tax practice in Romania from Theodor Artenie, who has announced his decision to embark on a similar position with another firm. "Theodor has been an important member of our team and we are grateful for his role in the development of the firm's tax advisory practice. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours." – added Sebastian Guțiu.
