Musat & Asociatii has been designated the “Law firm of the year in Romania” by the British magazine The Lawyer during the annual Gala Awards held in London.
Thus, the Romanian law firm joins other international firms among which Baker & McKenzie, Latham & Watkins, Noerr (Germany), Schoenherr (Austria), Rutgers & Posch (Benelux), A&L Goodbody (Irlanda), also awarded by The Lawyer.
“This prize awarded by The Lawyer comes at a very important moment in the history and evolution of Musat & Asociatii on the Romanian legal market – the celebration of 25 years of the law firm – and it is a recognition at European level of the firm's achievements in 2014, as well as of the quality standards promoted during this period,”stated Mona Musat, Managing Partner Musat & Asociatii, to whom the prize was handed.
Some of Musat & Asociatii's most important projects recently include the acquisition of Lafarge's domestic assets by CRH (Ireland), the Electrica IPO, or the takeover of the 65 percent participation of Sterling Resources in Midia XV perimeter by ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Romania and OMV Petrom.
During
the ceremony, there were awarded 26 trophies, the winners being
elected by a jury of 26 legal professionals from law firms and
international private companies based on criteria such as excellence
in legal services, capability to manage complex projects and files,
strategic vision, strong culture of partnership, development and
financial performance, as well as client management.
