International Financial Law Review(IFLR) releases each year rankings of law firms from numerous jurisdictions, mainly considering corporate and financial services. The rankings are based on a rigorous research process that includes firm analysis and interviews conducted with their clients and competitors.

The IFLR1000 designation comes after the ranking obtained earlier this year inthe reputed international directory Legal 500 for the same practice area, as well as after the “M&A Law Firm of the Year, Romania” awarded last year to Maravela & Asociaţii by London based business publications Acquisition International, Finance Monthly and ACQ5.

Our Corporate/M&A awards join a considerable number of other distinctions obtained in just two years from the firm’s establishment.

For instance, the well-known British publication The Lawyer shortlisted Maravela & Asociații just this spring for the “Law Firm of the Year: Romania” distinction, which was awarded during The Lawyer European Awards 2015, one of the most important events in the sector.

In addition, Maravela & Asociații’s Projects department was included this year in the first tiers of the reputed European directory of Chamber & Partners. Furthermore, the international business platform CorporateLiveWire awarded the firm also this year for Innovation & Excellency as well as for “Insolvency firm of the year”, while the renowned American guide Best Lawyers International recommends the firm’s founding partners in no less than seven practice areas, Gelu Maravela being also designated 2014-2015 Bucharest Energy Law “Lawyer of the Year”.
