Maravela & Asociatii has expanded its team with the recent appointments of Ioan Roman, Gabriela Petrea and Catalin Oncescu who have joined the firm’s Litigation & Arbitration, Energy and Mergers & Acquisitions, and White Collar Crime departments.
Ioan Roman, who formerly worked for BPV Grigorescu Stefanica, has joined the law firm as Senior Associate, being specialized in litigation and arbitration cases. Over the years, he has been involved in multiple insolvency or bankruptcy procedures, administrative disputes, labor litigation, foreclosure procedures or public procurement disputes. At the same time, he has worked on complex arbitrations on infrastructure, IT or hydropower energy projects, his expertize covering a wide range of practice areas such as real estate and construction law, transport law, banking or medical law.
Coming from Peli Filip law firm, Gabriela Petrea, whose professional background includes cooperations with White & Case and Clifford Chance Badea, joins Maravela and Asociatii as Senior Associate. She has a waste work experience in the energy field, advising on various stages of numerous renewable or conventional energy projects. Gabriela Petrea’s expertise additionally covers the mergers and acquisitions field, providing assistance to large international corporations in connection with the structuring and implementation of investment projects in various sectors such as retail, automotive, real estate or IT.
Catalin Oncescu, appointed as Senior Counsel, has previously collaborated with Musat & Asociatii and Zamfirescu, Racoti & Partners. He focuses his practice on white collar crime, anti-corruption or corporate fraud issues, being involved in multiple commercial disputes and alternative dispute resolutions. Over the years, he has advised both domestic and international companies, listed or unlisted, as well as individuals or groups of individuals.
