Deloitte M&A specialists assisted in transactions exceeding half a billion EUR during the past three months, providing support buy-side and sell-side in M&A, due diligence, tax and legal.
Supporting the M&A momentum and breadth of multi-disciplinary services, Deloitte has established a dedicated M&A team in the Tax function led by Alin Chitu, Tax Director. In his new role, Alin will focus on streamlining the integration of tax services in M&A transactions, consolidating the firm’s M&A practice.
“We have created a dedicated M&A team in the Tax function to make sure that by specializing our experts we will bring more added value to our clients. The Tax M&A team will work closely with other service lines so that the M&A projects will benefit from a successful multidisciplinary approach,” said Dan Badin, Partner-in-Charge Tax & Legal with Deloitte Romania.
“This new role represents a significant challenge that gives me the opportunity to use my expertise and market connectivity in order to focus on leading the M&A team in the Tax function. With 15 years of experience, Alin specializes in corporate tax matters, covering a broad range of international and domestic taxation, as well as various transaction implications. He is a respected advisor in the market and held a few other roles including working for the World Bank as local expert. Alin has been a board member and supervisory board member in several companies, being actively involved in complex M&A and due diligence projects over the years.
