CEE Attorneys / Boanță, Gîdei și Asociații assisted Sparking Capital investment fund in the project through which the company coordinated the financing offered to Questo start-up, a platform developed by Romanian entrepreneurs supporting travel enthusiasts and locals from all over the world to discover cities in interactive game routes called 'quests'. Early Game Ventures fund was also involved in the financing, in a process meant to support the expansion of the platform in several cities around the world.
The project was coordinated by Sergiu Gîdei, CEE Attorneys / Boanță, Gîdei și Asociații founding partner and associate Elena Șopotean.
”The fact that our clients continue to support Romanian start-ups during one of the most severe economic crises in recent decades, shows that sustainable, innovative businesses with growth potential are the major contributors to the development of the start-ups ecosystem in Romania. This is even more significant since we are talking about an investment in tech tourism, an industry seriously affected during by the pandemic, with possible long-term negative effects. Such a deal is an extremely important signal for local and international investors in relation to the opportunities that Romania offers in the field of tech start-ups, where there is still much room for new projects, in areas such as e-commerce, blockhain, artificial intelligence, etc”, believes Sergiu Gîdei.
Last year and in the first half of this year CEE Attorneys / Boanță, Gîdei și Asociații successfully closed 14 projects in the area of technology and start-ups, evaluated at over 46 million EUR.
